  • Minifig of the Week – Shirtless Dastan

The Prince of Persia movie franchise and Lego series may have been a huge flop, but at least we will always have Jake Gyllenhaal’s abs in Lego form forever and ever.  Just give him some better hair.

  • Minifig of the Week – Paradisa Riding Jacket

I’ve built a lot with Paradisa over the years.  The horse themed minifigs were always the hardest to find compared to the pool ones.  The horse lady is a great lost minifig which more people should know about.

  • Minifig of the Week – Dr. Octopus

The Spiderman movies sucked and so the the series sets, mostly.  The silver lining was the super cool Dr. Octopus with his cool neck bracket.  That hasn’t been used in a while.

The Exo-Force hair was out of control, in a good way. I love the over-the-top cartoonishness of it.  The series had a good backstory and little else.  You can’t go wrong with a war against the machines and awesome colorful hair.  Oh, wait I guess you can.

  • Minifig of the Week – Dragon Knight

The new castle figs this year have been pretty bad ass.  Look at the dragon armor.  Look at it!  The scales continue onto the legs.  Super cool.  They should bring the old dragons back.

  • Minifig of the Week – Cheerleader

The cheerleader was the best of the first series.  I haven’t done the cost analysis but I do believe she is also the most expensive from the first series.  Like the Spartans and Hazemat guys to come, you can’t have just one.  Spirit Fingers!

  • Minifig of the Week – Futuron

They weren’t quite classic space, but then again, there weren’t anything else yet.  Of all the post Classic Space guys, the Futuron ones were the best.  Even better then Blacktron.  The diagonal line was a simple advancement showing that a new generation was on the scene  I wish I had more of these.

  • Minifig Of The Week – Coast Guard Doctor

I don’t know who came up with the best idea of giving a city series doctor a mad scientist lap coat, but thank you.  Maybe that just how doctors dress in Europe.  Either way I put the made scientist to work in several MOCs over the years.  Thank you!

  • Minifig of the week – Willie Scott

I’ve come to realize something, terrible characters make for the greatest of minifigs.  Probably because we don’t have any expectations a little.  But Willie Scott came with of the goriest head accessories every.  And the shots to the head haven’t stopped yet.  Oh, Indy! Bang!

  • Minifig of the Week: Timmy

Seriously, Timmy is the funniest minifig ever.  The big T and the freckles makes me laugh every time.  He debuted when I was in my quasi-dark ages of high school but I still ended up with one at the time.  He just the perfect sidekick to decapitate in any display.  Timmy!
